Dental issues can be painful. Restorative care will get you back to smiling comfortably.
Our restorative treatments will help you chew, speak, and smile with carefree confidence.
If your restorative procedure requires extensive time in the chair, our sedation options will keep you comfortable.
Even patients with proper hygiene habits and healthy diets can develop cavities. If this happens, Jackson Family Dentistry offers composite fillings to bring your tooth back to optimal health and help you avoid bigger problems down the road. We’ll remove any damaged tooth material and fill the empty area with tooth-colored composite to restore full function and aesthetics.
An infected tooth can cause excruciating pain, but root canal therapy will relieve discomfort and restore your smile. Tooth infections can occur as a result of untreated decay, a cracked tooth, or an oral injury. During a root canal, our dentists will create a tiny hole in your tooth and remove any damaged or infected material. Then, the empty area will be filled with an inert substance called “gutta percha”. This ensures that your tooth structure is supported, and we may also attach a crown to cap your tooth and protect it from further damage.
Dental crowns are custom-made dental prosthesis that fit perfectly over a damaged tooth to protect it from further harm. Crowns can be used to “cap” teeth that have been cracked, chipped, or damaged by large cavities.
Bridges are used to replace missing teeth. This dental prosthesis consists of two dental crowns that are attached to two healthy teeth on either side of the empty space left after tooth loss. The two crowns form a literal bridge that holds a false tooth in place. After your custom restoration is made, you’ll leave our office with a fresh, complete smile.
No matter how many teeth you are missing, Jackson Family Dentistry offers both full and partial dentures to meet the restorative needs of each patient. Partial dentures attach to your healthy teeth and hold a false tooth (typically a dental crown) in place. This allows you to smile, chew, and speak normally, and avoid issues related to tooth loss, such as shifting teeth.
Full arch dentures are typically only recommended for patients who have serious oral health issues, like a full arch of damaged or decayed teeth, or irreversible periodontal disease. In order to replace the upper, lower, or both arches of teeth with full arch dentures, all remaining teeth must be extracted. Once the teeth have been extracted and your gums and jaw have healed, a custom denture is made to fit perfectly over your gumline and replace all of your teeth.
When you come in for your appointment, we will assess your teeth and gums to help you determine the treatment options that will work best for you, your lifestyle, and your budget. We will answer any questions you have about your diagnosis and discuss the details of each treatment option to empower you to make the best decisions for your dental health. After you decide on your treatment plan, we will begin your procedure and get your smile back to optimal health.
Yes! We offer many different restorative options for patients looking to complete their smiles after tooth loss. Infected teeth are typically very painful and sensitive to hot and cold temperatures. If your tooth is infected, you may also notice grayish discoloration and extreme sensitivity when you chew. If you notice any of these signs and symptoms, contact Jackson Family Dentistry right away to schedule a consultation and discuss your options.
